A Brief Overview Vice President of Accounting Policy is responsible for directing and controlling complex aspects of the HCI accounting and financial reporting process, including: technical accounting and reporting research (on various accounting topics and issues), accounting for complex and subjective transactions (i.e., business acquisitions and dispositions, financings, reorganizations, consolidation/variable interest entities), preparing and reviewing significant transaction memos, project managing the implementation of new accounting and reporting technical pronouncements for the overall enterprise, and enhancing accounting policies, processes and controls. This position requires leadership and influence of direct reports, timely follow through and effective communication with a wide audience crossing all functions of the organization, including executive management.
