Fitz Frames is an eyewear company that utilizes the latest in mobile computer vision and 3-D printing to create custom, made-to-order prescription glasses at an affordable price. Fitz Frames is at the forefront of what we believe will be a wave of mass customization in the consumer product industry. The brand is already recognized as a category creator, with unique and differentiated technology and a product foundation that enables Fitz to seamlessly deliver beautiful, durable and perfectly fitted eyewear to customers.
The promise of mass customization has been long in the making, especially as enabling technologies have matured and become more affordable over the past 10+ years. Fitz Frames has leveraged this technology and positioned itself well to deliver customer delight with high gross margins within the eyewear market, and potentially in adjacent markets beyond.
Fitz has over $10M in invested capital and a validated technology and production process, but is effectively pre-revenue currently. Under this new CEO's leadership, Fitz Frames is expected to adopt a new go-to-market approach and strategy, fueled by rescue capital and support from Palm Venture Studios. In order to fully capitalize on the opportunity ahead, Fitz Frames must develop and grow specific areas of focus, as it continues to build a trusted and innovative brand in the mass-customized consumer product market.
The primary near-term objective for the incoming CEO is to identify the most promising market segments to invest to drive capital-efficient revenue growth; potential areas of interest that have been identified include (a) children's eyeglasses that fit well, and are stylish, durable and affordable, (b) adult, fashion-forward, affordable eyeglasses that can be customized to fit all diverse face shapes and customized to your style, and (c) made-in-America, made-to-order custom eyeglasses for all.
