Position Summary: Lead all aspects of global day-to-day accounting through the month-end closing and consolidation in accordance with US GAAP and with sound internal controls. Manage the operational accounting processes, including general ledger accounting, chart of accounts, reconciliations, and US payment processing. Develop and maintain general ledger structure in accordance with corporate standards and format. Coordinate the external audit process. Manage and optimize financial systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead all aspects of global day to day accounting through the month-end closing and consolidation in accordance with US GAAP. Manage the operational accounting processes, including general ledger accounting, chart of accounts, reconciliations, and US payment processing. Develop and maintain general ledger structure in accordance with corporate standards and format.
- Coordinate and maintain a monthly/quarterly closing and consolidation process. Provide guidance and oversight to international accounting teams to ensure monthly and quarterly close processes and financial reports are timely and accurate in accordance with US GAAP.
- Management and optimization of finance systems and applications including the accounting and consolidation system(s). Assessment of accounting and reporting systems for adequacy; lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Accounting for income taxes in accordance with US GAAP. (generally accepted accounting principles)
- Accounting for international operations in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepare and coordinate statements of cash flows in accordance with US GAAP.
- Maintain effective controls over the areas of assigned responsibility including maintenance and ownership over operational accounting policies.
- Timely identification and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other corporate accounting and reporting functions, international accounting teams, and other key constituents.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors ensuring supporting items are provided within required timelines.
- Management of assigned staff including oversight of international accounting operational activities.
- Participate in other projects as required.
- Travel as necessary.

- Mentor and develop accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Ensure the team possesses the skills, knowledge, and motivation to support the organization's financial and strategic objectives.
Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Master's Degree Preferred.
- 10 years of corporate accounting experience.
- 3-5 years' experience with international accounting standards and issues, including foreign currency accounting experience
- CPA or CA
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and the differences between US GAAP and IFRS/local GAAP.
- Experience with international accounting standards and issues, including foreign currency accounting.
- At least 10 years' corporate accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
- Experience with accounting systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Public company accounting experience preferred.
- Financial services accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to execute and follow through to completion and documentation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally if necessary.
- Fluent in English
